Star Citizen: A game with £1000 JPEGS

After spending about 60 hours in Star Citizen, also known as the most expensive game ever made, I have made a decision on what I think of it (hint: It's great, but needs polishing, also, fun fact, it's still less than 80% done), but I'm here to help you make your decision without spending money, whether you've played and quit or never heard of it.

To start, the prices. You don't have to buy it for £2000, you can just buy it for £45. The benefits in buying it for a higher price are simply a kickstart, allowing you to do things quicker, therefore speeding up the early game. There are only two things that cannot be earned for free (and they're unnecessary).

When I started the game, I bought the Duelist Citizencon Starter pack for £51 and after character creation, loaded into the game on a beautiful sky city located on a gas giant called Crusader. This city is called Orison, and it's owned by Crusader Industries. I skipped the tutorial and for some reason unbeknownst to me, I woke up in a hospital room, and if you knew what I did next, you would think I woke up in a mental hospital. I got out of bed, started spamming on the door to get out, ran around the hospital floor, jumped over the counter where the receptionist was sitting, then finally found the elevator. I checked EVERY. SINGLE. FLOOR. UNTIL I FINALLY reached the ground floor. I don't know why I expected the exit to be on another floor.

After exiting the ground floor, I hopped on the shuttle (I'm a genius, I figured it out really quickly) hopped off on the FIRST STATION and spent 30 MINUTES thinking that was the right station until FINALLY I spotted the shuttle map and saw the words August Ounslow SPACEPORT, right after where I was, Providence Platform. The only thing that benefitted me at Providence Platform was that I was able to pick up my gear from a Storage Unit and buy a multitool (with a tractor beam) just as the shuttle arrived behind me. For dramatic effect, I switched to third person, took off my helmet and started slow motion walking towards the Shuttle which I almost missed, I had to run at the end.

Once I arrived at August Ounslow Spaceport, I did not get lost (take that CIG) and went down the elevator. From here on it was quite straightforward, so I'll tell you from the hangar bay what happened: I called in my ship (the Aegis Avenger Titan), powered it on, switched to navigation mode, and then expected the hangar bay doors to be automatic and crashed. So then I repeated this process (although faster since I knew how), this time, after using the power of insurance, I called Landing Services to open the hangar door. I successfully escaped the atmosphere and Quantum Travelled to Seraphim Station to pick up some cargo but crashed while trying to get into my hangar and repeated the whole process, where I thankfully succeeded this time.

After landing in the hangar, I went to the freight elevator to call my cargo in and loaded it in to my ship, then proceeded to fly back to Orison to deliver the cargo and make an easy 50k.

My feedback on the game is: there should be a Medbay in the hangar so that when you die you don't spend 20 minutes getting your ship back, although you do spawn in in your hangar whenever joining a server. That's it. The rest is what everyone says. Fix the bugs. I would give it 4.8/5.0 stars if it was on Steam. Now, I hope to see some of you guys in the vast world of Star Citizen (I'm a Mercenary/Bounty Hunter called TheE3al now). Please either comment, like, or just be a unique view if you'd like more Star Citizen posts.
